What's included
Most kitchens do not need gutting. The honest first question is whether the boxes and the layout are worth keeping — if they are, refinishing gets you most of the result for a fraction of the work.
Kitchen stays usable through most of the work.
Counter fabrication is normally the longest wait — it goes in the schedule up front.
Plumbing, electrical and gas go to licensed trades, named before you sign.
Our work
Same room, same cabinets. The boxes stayed; the doors, frames, walls and trim were sprayed.

Reserved: tile close-ups and finished counter runs.

What it costs
We publish real numbers rather than "it depends" — but only once they're ours to publish. Our written ranges are being finalised; call and we'll give you one over the phone in a minute. What moves the number:
Working with us
We measure, check drainage and grade, and talk through what you actually want. Free, and no pressure to sign anything.
Scope, materials, base depth and price in writing. You'll know exactly what's included before a shovel moves.
Ontario One Call locates booked, materials ordered, start date confirmed. A realistic window, not an optimistic one.
Excavation, base, compaction, install. Site cleaned at the end of each day — you still have to live there.
We walk it together before final payment. Anything on your list gets fixed, then we're back if settling shows up.
Questions
Usually, yes — and it is the single biggest saving available in a kitchen. If the boxes are solid and the layout works, doors and frames get degreased, sanded, primed and sprayed rather than brushed. The finish is what decides whether it looks refinished or replaced, which is why it is sprayed and why the prep takes longer than the painting.
A refinish is typically five to eight working days, and the kitchen stays usable for most of it — doors come off, the boxes stay. A full gut with new cabinets, counters and tile runs three to five weeks depending on lead times on the counters.
Not in-house. Ontario makes both compulsory trades, so a licensed plumber handles the sink and dishwasher connections and a Licensed Electrical Contractor handles any circuit work, with the ESA notification filed under their licence. We schedule and coordinate around them, and we tell you which parts of the job that covers before you sign.
Quartz and granite are templated after the cabinets are set, and fabrication is typically one to two weeks after templating. That gap is normally the longest single wait in a kitchen job, so it gets built into the schedule rather than discovered halfway through.
Yes. Backsplash tile, cabinet refinishing and a repaint is a common package and often the highest-value week of work you can buy in a kitchen.
