Grease is why cabinet paint peels.

FOUR40 refinishes kitchen and bathroom cabinets across the GTA — degreased, sanded, primed and sprayed for a factory-style finish, with new hardware fitted. Usually a fraction of the cost of replacement. Free on-site estimates.
What's included
If the carcasses are sound and the layout works, refinishing is the highest-value week of work you can buy in a kitchen.

Our work
Same boxes, same layout. Doors, frames, walls and trim sprayed.

Reserved: sprayed door faces and hardware close-ups.
What it costs
We publish real numbers rather than "it depends" — but only once they're ours to publish. Our written ranges are being finalised; call and we'll give you one over the phone in a minute. What moves the number:
Working with us
We measure, check drainage and grade, and talk through what you actually want. Free, and no pressure to sign anything.
Scope, materials, base depth and price in writing. You'll know exactly what's included before a shovel moves.
Ontario One Call locates booked, materials ordered, start date confirmed. A realistic window, not an optimistic one.
Excavation, base, compaction, install. Site cleaned at the end of each day — you still have to live there.
We walk it together before final payment. Anything on your list gets fixed, then we're back if settling shows up.
Questions
The finish is, when it is sprayed rather than brushed and the prep is done properly. What refinishing does not fix is worn hinges, sagging boxes or a layout that does not work — if the carcasses are failing, painting them buys you a year.
Thermofoil is difficult and often not worth it — the film lifts at edges and heat sources. Real wood and MDF doors take a sprayed finish extremely well. We will tell you which you have at the site visit, and say so if the answer is that refacing or replacing doors is the better spend.
Typically five to eight working days. Doors come off and get sprayed off-site or in a masked area; the boxes are done in place. Most of the elapsed time is curing between coats.
Mostly yes. The boxes stay in place and the counters stay usable — you lose the doors for the week, not the kitchen.
Service area
Close enough to come back if something needs attention — which matters more than it sounds.
