Is a crack in my foundation serious?
Most vertical hairline cracks in poured foundations are shrinkage and are common. Horizontal cracks, stepped cracks in block, and anything wide enough to put a coin in are different, and worth an engineer's eye rather than an injection.
What is crack injection?
Filling the crack through its full depth with polyurethane or epoxy from the inside. Done properly it stops water; it does not add structural capacity, and it is not the answer to a structural crack.
Is this the same as waterproofing?
No. We do exterior water management — grading, drains, window wells, downspouts — and crack sealing. Full interior or exterior waterproofing systems carry warranty exposure we refer out to specialists rather than take on.
Why is my basement damp with no visible crack?
Usually grading and downspouts, and it is worth exhausting those before anything invasive. Water arriving at the foundation is the problem; the wall is just where you notice it.
