FOUR40 installs stamped and broom-finish concrete driveways, patios and walkways across the GTA — on the same compacted granular base as our paver work, with control joints cut properly. Free on-site estimates.
What's included
Stamped concrete is a genuinely good product laid well. It sits on exactly the same compacted granular base as an interlock driveway — the base is not a paver thing, it is a ground thing.

Sealing is not optional in a salt climate.
What it costs
We publish real numbers rather than "it depends" — but only once they're ours to publish. Our written ranges are being finalised; call and we'll give you one over the phone in a minute. What moves the number:
Working with us
We measure, check drainage and grade, and talk through what you actually want. Free, and no pressure to sign anything.
Scope, materials, base depth and price in writing. You'll know exactly what's included before a shovel moves.
Ontario One Call locates booked, materials ordered, start date confirmed. A realistic window, not an optimistic one.
Excavation, base, compaction, install. Site cleaned at the end of each day — you still have to live there.
We walk it together before final payment. Anything on your list gets fixed, then we're back if settling shows up.
Questions
All concrete cracks. The question is whether it cracks where it was told to. Control joints are cut to give the slab a planned place to relieve stress, and a well-jointed slab hides its cracking in those lines. A slab with too few joints cracks wherever it likes.
Cheaper to install, seamless in appearance, and not repairable in place — a damaged area is patched visibly or replaced wholesale. Pavers cost more and can be lifted and reset. We build both and set the comparison out in full on the interlock versus concrete page.
Yes, periodically. The colour is applied at and near the surface, so sealing protects both the colour and the surface from salt and freeze-thaw. Skipping it is how a stamped driveway starts looking tired at the traffic points.
Concrete placement is temperature-critical and unforgiving — a bad pour cannot be fixed afterwards. Late-season work is scheduled around the forecast, and if the weather does not cooperate we move the date rather than pour and hope.
Service area
Close enough to come back if something needs attention — which matters more than it sounds.
